    Win7 Ultimate x64.

    All was working but now:
    Can’t adjust any gadget opacity,
Clock second hand won’t work anymore,
    Clock only displays as default.

UAC is configured on allow everything.
I cannot restore gadget defaults, it just opens the gadget window.
Ran FIXITas per M$; no work.
edit registry as per M$; no work.
    did the above: no work.
Turned gadgets off and reboot and turn on: no work.
No Adobe on computer (this has been identified on other sites).

As usual, about 6hrs has been spent for a no gain.
    Help would be appreciated.
    cheers,
    Paul.

Dear Sirs, I did everything as you said. But the problem still persists (some gadgets crashed : clock…, some doesnt appear : calender).

OS : Windows 7 Home Premium

But, when I entered the first command (regsvr32 msxml3.dll), I got reply as you described. But the second and third commands were not with Succeeded reply. However a ‘not found’ or similar dialogue box appeared.

As well as I did the (Restore/Reinstall Uninstalled built-in Windows Gadgets)also. Still the problem not rectified. I had closed the Sidebar function from Task Manager before I do any above attempts .

    Would you advise further, thanks.

    hi,
I tried the tricks but I still have the problem: my gadgets appear invisible except for the logo Info and the button “X” to close.

    what can it be??
    help!!

Ps. it could be that i deleted a .dll file while i was trying to remove malware because at the windows starting it appeared a window that said: unable to find …/…/….[somthing]dash.dll
